I've been looking for a new bookcase for a long time and decided to splurge on this one. I purchased it through Amazon because at the time the tax was a lot less and shipping was fast and free with Prime. In retrospect, I wish I would've just gone to a furniture store and looked for one in person. Pros: -color and tone of wood is true to the website image -circular claws give bookcase an elegant and put-together look -you can attach the doors or choose to leave them off; I attached them and it gives the case a much cleaner look -shelves are sturdy but shallower than I would've liked Cons: -extremely difficult to put together; the instructions might as well have been Greek -was missing a lot of screws and other small but essential parts; had to make two trips to the hardware store -came with two left doors; had to turn one of them around to achieve the correct asthetic and it still looks off -contacted the seller multiple times with my concerns and never heard back I would recommend not buying this bookcase or buying anything from this seller. Don't make the same mistake I did - go to a furniture store and pick one up. You might find one on sale, get a really nice deal, AND be treated like a paying customer.
