The bookcases look nice, and are very functional; quality, being laminated particle board, is just OK; the hardware used in construction is effective and well-hidden for sturdy, stable assembly, though the laminate chips easily. Both cases I purchased arrived well packaged, but with numerous nicks, etc, but these were easily hidden by a brown marker included which can be used to touch up nicks in the laminate. Construction is NOT easy as the ad states; the first one required about 3 hours to assemble; the second one a little less after I had been through one. Assembly instruction were good except for 2 things: there were no measurements on the multiple different sizes of boards, making it difficult to know which was which before assembly; and there was no instruction on how to adjust the door hinges, which I had to write and have emailed to me; that was essential to adjust the doors after installation. But overall these were attractive and very functional cases, and nice for the price.
