[...] It took some time to assemble, more than 2 hours. Especially, if you are alone, it is tough--but doable. I did it by myself. However, if you can find a helper, that will help greatly. The fully assembled unit is quite heavy. You have to erect it from the laydown position after the full assembly. One regular size guy can do it, but maybe not a 5 ft woman. I really need one more of these, but I am a little reluctent when I think of the sweat I had to shed when assembling the first one. But after everything is assembled, it is a beautiful, sturdy bookshelf. Very elegant. Great match to my elegant APT !
