We ordered two of these for either side of our fireplace. They look great and are exactly what we were hoping for. They come fully assembled from the manufacturer enclosed in a wooden encasement to ensure they are in good condition upon delivery. They are well made and sturdy enough to hold heavy decorations/books. They appear to be white in the photo, and they are actually an off white (eggshell), which was not a problem for us.
